One of our clients is looking for a specialized Actuary in Brussels.
An internationally recognized consulting firm is looking for a Senior Actuarial Consultant to strengthen its Employee Benefits and Retirement Solutions practice.
You will join a team of actuaries and consultants advising local and multinational organizations on pension schemes, employee benefit programs, actuarial valuations, accounting standards, and strategic retirement-related projects.
This role offers a unique combination of technical actuarial work, client interaction, and project-based consulting in an international environment.
Role
Employee Benefits Consulting
- Advise clients on pension plans, group insurance arrangements, and broader employee benefit programs.
- Support companies in the design, review, and optimization of their retirement and benefit structures.
- Provide actuarial expertise on complex employee benefit matters.
Actuarial Valuations & Reporting
- Perform actuarial valuations for pension funds and insured benefit plans.
- Assist clients with accounting and reporting requirements related to employee benefits.
- Prepare calculations and analyses in accordance with international accounting standards such as IFRS and US GAAP.
- Participate in financial reporting and consolidation projects for multinational organizations.
Strategic Projects
- Support mergers and acquisitions through actuarial due diligence and benefit assessments.
- Contribute to Asset Liability Management (ALM) studies and long-term pension funding analyses.
- Participate in broader consulting projects linked to retirement strategy, risk management, and workforce planning.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Present actuarial findings and recommendations in a clear and business-oriented manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across different service lines and countries.
- Support business development initiatives when appropriate.
Profile
Experience
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in actuarial consulting, employee benefits, pensions, or a related field.
- Experience working with pension plans, retirement solutions, or employee benefit schemes is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong actuarial and analytical capabilities.
- Solid understanding of pension and employee benefit calculations.
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards for employee benefits.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data accurately.
