Our partner is a leading player in the FinTech sector and makes daily life easier for nearly one million Belgians. To support its current growth, the company is seeking a junior accountant to join the accounting department. This is a position offering numerous opportunities for advancement. It is an ideal role for an ambitious accountant with initial experience in a company or at a trust firm, who is seeking a long-term career within the same company.
Junior Accountant | Your Role
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts (postings, adjustments, reconciliations).
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure the completeness and reliability of the accounts.
- Manage and monitor the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process.
- Participate in monthly and annual closings in a timely manner.
- Prepare accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations related to closings.
- Monitor overdue customer balances and follow up to ensure prompt collection.
- Contribute to reporting and analysis related to credit control.
- Manage communications with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with and updates to accounting administrative procedures.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes.
- Contribute to the optimization and development of the accounting system (Odoo).
Junior Accountant | Your Profile
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, or general accounting, or in a fiduciary management role
- Education: You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Languages: You are fluent in French and have a working knowledge of English and Dutch
