Our client, a leading professional services group near Brussels, is looking for a Finance Controller to strengthen its central finance team.

Finance Controller | Your duties and responsibilities

As Finance Controller, you will have a broad scope combining accounting expertise, reporting and financial analysis:

Support monthly and year-end closing activities and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
Analyse P&L and balance sheet movements, investigate variances and identify inconsistencies.
Perform balance sheet and inter-ledger reconciliations.
Contribute to financial and regulatory reporting under BE GAAP and IFRS.
Support statutory and consolidation reporting processes.
Prepare financial information, analyses and management reporting for internal stakeholders.
Work closely with accounting teams, controllers and other finance stakeholders across the organisation.
Review new or complex transactions and help determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
Contribute to the preparation of tax declarations and compliance-related activities.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required financial documentation.
Review, document and improve internal controls and finance processes.
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve existing ways of working.

Finance Controller | Ideal profile

Experience: You have relevant experience in accounting, financial controlling, reporting and/or audit, with solid knowledge of BE GAAP; exposure to IFRS or consolidation is an asset.
Languages: You are professionally fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage.
Qualifications: You hold a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and have strong analytical and Excel skills; SAP experience is an asset.
