General Accountant | Join an international company

Our partner is an international player within FMCG-sector, who is looking for a general accountant with a specific interest in VAT and taxation.

You will be joining an international and rapidly growing organization active in Fast Moving Consumer Goods. The environment is characterized by international trade, complex supply chains, and a professional yet accessible culture. This role offers you the opportunity to delve into VAT and taxation while also gaining broader experience in accounting and finance.

General Accountant | Your Role

Preparing and submitting VAT returns for Belgium and the Netherlands
Preparing and following up on Intrastat declarations
Assisting with general accounting tasks from A to Z
Active involvement in the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system
Contributing ideas on the optimization of VAT and other finance processes
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors

General Accountant | Your Profile

Experience: Initial experience in accounting; experience with VAT is a plus, knowledge of multiple GAAP's is also a plus
Languages: Fluent Dutch, good knowledge of French
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or master's degree in economics/finance
