Accounting Manager | International Industry

Our client, an international food group known for its premium brands, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its Finance team in Brussels.

As Accounting Manager, you will play a key role within the Finance function, with broad exposure to accounting operations, reporting, taxation and financial transformation projects. Your responsibilities

Leading monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities in collaboration with the different Finance teams
Overseeing general and subledger accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany and bank accounting
Ensuring accurate reconciliations, reliable documentation and consistent accounting practices
Ensuring compliance with Belgian GAAP, IFRS and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
Coordinating statutory reporting, external audits, VAT and corporate tax compliance activities
Supporting treasury activities, including cash position monitoring and cash flow forecasting
Acting as the accounting key user for SAP S/4HANA and contributing to automation, digitalisation and process improvement project
Working closely with Finance, Operations and internal and external stakeholders
Leading, coaching and developing the accounting team while promoting ownership and continuous improvement

Ideal Profile

Experience: You have 9 to 10+ years of experience in accounting, ideally gained in an industrial, FMCG, retail or international environment, with previous experience in team management or coordination.
Languages: You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field. You have strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, Belgian taxation and internal controls. Solid experience with SAP and Excel is expected.
