Senior Windows Devops Engineer
Are you the Windows and network expert who can drive a secure Hyper-V infrastructure and bridge the gap between development and operations?
Context
As part of a major IT modernization program, we are finalizing the migration from VMware to Hyper-V while strengthening collaboration between Infrastructure and Development teams.
At the same time, we support approximately 600 end users operating within a modern, secure Windows-based environment.
This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure operations, cloud support, and developer enablement. You will act as both a technical bridge between development and infrastructure teams and a trusted expert for end users on environment, networking, and security topics.
Role
Key Responsibilities
Windows Infrastructure Administration
- Administer and optimize production Hyper-V environments
- Manage and maintain Windows Servers following industry best practices
- Operate critical network services: DNS, DHCP, NPS
- Administer and secure Fortigate firewalls
- Implement strong security policies (access control, segmentation, hardening)
- Monitor infrastructure proactively and detect incidents before they become critical
Developer & Cloud Environment Support
- Serve as the technical interface between Infrastructure and Development teams
- Support developers working on Hyper-V and OpenShift environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related application issues
- Improve mutual understanding of infrastructure and development constraints
- Contribute to deployment and support process improvements
End-User Support (Level 3)
- Provide reliable and responsive Level 3 support to ~600 users
- Manage Windows updates, network configurations, and user security issues
- Clearly document solutions and contribute to user training
- Support security policies and compliance initiatives, including NIS2
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust, tested backup strategies (Veeam or equivalent)
- Keep documentation and critical procedures up to date
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Development, and Security teams
- Communicate risks and technical solutions clearly
- Support teams during major incidents
Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (Informatica)
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Engineer or equivalent role
- Proven experience working in critical Windows server environments
- Most recent hands-on experience in infrastructure operations and transformation contexts
Technical Skills & Required Level
Confirmed Level (recent experience required):
- Hyper-V administration and virtualization management
- DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Artifactory, etc.)
- Strong operational experience as a System Engineer
Junior Level (recent experience required):
- DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN technologies
- Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Network Security concepts (VPN, RAS, ACL, Firewall, NAC, NAT, network zoning, DMZ, etc.)
- OpenShift / Kubernetes environments
- PowerShell scripting
- Security frameworks (CyFun, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, etc.) and gap analysis
Offer
