Senior Accountant | Fast-Growing International Environment

Our partner, an innovative mobility company based in Brussels, is looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen its growing Finance team.

As Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the Head of Accounting and other members of the Finance team. Beyond daily accounting, you will contribute to closings, compliance, audits and the continuous improvement and automation of financial processes.

Senior Accountant | Your duties and responsibilities

As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Manage and supervise a broad range of day-to-day general accounting activities.
Participate actively in monthly and quarterly closings, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Handle accruals, provisions and balance sheet accounts.
Manage fixed assets, depreciation and impairment entries.
Follow up on accounts receivable, invoicing, credit notes and outstanding balances.
Participate in cash management, payments and cash-flow monitoring.
Contribute to VAT, statutory and tax compliance in a Belgian accounting environment.
Support the preparation and coordination of external audits.
Work closely with colleagues across Finance and other departments.
Participate in the improvement of internal controls, accounting processes and automation projects.
Take ownership of ad-hoc financial projects depending on the evolution of the business.

Senior Accountant | Ideal profile

Experience: You have approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in accounting, whether gained internally or within an accounting firm/fiduciary, and you are comfortable with general accounting and closing activities.
Languages: You are fluent in English; knowledge of French, Dutch or another European language is an asset.
Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and have a good understanding of Belgian accounting principles (BE GAAP).
