GL Accountant & Controller | Retail | Flemish Brabant

We are looking for an ambitious Accountant & Controller for one of our clients, a retailer based in Flemish Brabant.

Founded in 2000, this company has quickly expanded globally while keeping the close-knit and human-focused atmosphere of a Belgian SME. You’ll join a collaborative, flat-hierarchy team, working hand-in-hand with a supportive Business Controller and CFO, where your contributions are valued and your growth is encouraged.

Function:

Support GL activities
Participate during monthly and annual closings
Prepare VAT declarations
Participate during the audit
Draft reporting with KPI and variance analysis
Handle payroll journal entries
Support budgeting and forecasting

Profile:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Management
At least 3 years of experience in Business Controlling
You speak Dutch and have an excellent proficiency of English
You are known for being an initiative-taker. You always come up with new ideas to improve ways of working
When it comes to work, you are implicated and reliable
You are proactive and have great time management skills
