Freelance Senior Fullstack Developer
A software company based in Hasselt is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable applications that support business-critical platforms.
You are responsible for writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code while ensuring high standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Beyond coding, debugging and testing, you actively contribute to architectural discussions, perform code reviews and help define technical best practices within the team. You enjoy mentoring and coaching junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain high-quality full stack applications using Java and Angular.
Build scalable, cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable software.
Take ownership of technical solutions, contribute ideas, and participate in architectural discussions.
Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Mentor teammates when needed while also working independently and taking responsibility for your own deliverables.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously expand your technical expertise through self learning.
Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of experience within software development
· Thorough knowledge of Java Backend Development
· Thorough knowledge of JavaScript ( Angular )
· Good understanding of the principles of Docker/ Kubernetes
· Good knowledge of Cloud (AWS)
· Good knowledge of Dutch and/ or French with English
· The willingness to acquire the necessary knowledge via self-learning
· A team player with fluent communication skills
· Not afraid to give your opinion
· Able to work independently
· Knowledge of Kafka is a big plus
· Knowledge of different databases
· Microservices knowledge is a plus
Onsite Policy
Initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension, combined with a hybrid working model of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home.
3 days remote
