Our partner, a major financial services player in Brussels, is looking for an Expert Accountant to strengthen its Finance & Reporting team.

Expert Accountant | Your duties and responsibilities

As an Expert Accountant, you will combine closing and reporting responsibilities with active involvement in the ongoing transformation of the Finance function.

Contribute to monthly and quarterly closings across several entities
Perform financial analyses and key accounting controls
Supervise the preparation of annual financial statements and financial reporting
Work with different accounting frameworks, including Belgian GAAP and IFRS
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information
Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations and other internal departments
Improve and simplify existing financial processes and controls
Contribute to a major Finance transformation and SAP S/4HANA implementation project
Participate in automation initiatives and the development of AI solutions within Finance
Bring your expertise to various cross-functional accounting and reporting projects

Expert Accountant | Ideal profile

Experience: You have at least 5 years of relevant Finance experience, gained within accounting, audit, controlling or financial reporting. Previous exposure to financial services or insurance is a strong asset but not mandatory.
Languages: You have a good professional command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is an additional asset.
Qualifications: You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. Knowledge of IFRS, SAP or complex accounting environments is considered an advantage.
