Automation Engineer - What's The Job About
- Drive automated reliability: design, implement, and maintain automated workflows, pipelines, and infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Lead project ownership: take charge of critical automation initiatives, shaping how systems are deployed, monitored, and maintained across production environments.
- Embed observability & proactive monitoring: define metrics, dashboards, and alerts to anticipate issues before they impact performance.
- Collaborate across teams: work closely with Engineering, Operations, and IT to integrate automation, reliability, and security best practices.
- Incident management & continuous improvement: respond to system incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes using automation-first approaches.
Automation Engineer - Who Are You
- Experienced in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Skilled at building CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and GitOps-driven workflows.
- Hands-on with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm) and comfortable in cloud and on-prem environments.
- Strong communicator and team player, able to lead initiatives and collaborate across disciplines to embed reliability and automation best practices.
- Security-conscious, familiar with IAM, secrets management, secure coding, and modern security frameworks.
- Tech Skills : programming (Python, Java, C/C++), database management (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and performance testing - it's a plus.
- English and French speaker.
