Senior Java Developer

You are a developer who enjoys building robust backend systems and always strives to leave them in a better state than you found them. You have a strong focus on quality and take ownership of your work. You are technically skilled, eager to learn, and naturally stay up to date with the latest technological developments.

You take pride in writing clean, well tested, and reliable code. You are a collaborative team player who integrates easily into a team and contributes positively to its success. You are familiar with working in an Agile Scrum environment and enjoy making complex ideas and solutions easy to understand through visualisation when needed. You are also comfortable working in a hybrid setup, meeting with your team onsite at least once a week.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing software with Java.
• Experience creating technical analyses and architecture diagrams.
• Proven experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud development, including services such as CloudFormation, CloudFront, S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, and related technologies.

Nice to Have

The following qualifications are considered a strong advantage:

• Experience with Python.
• Experience working with Docker containers.
• A strong DevOps mindset.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• A strong belief in the value of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and other Extreme Programming (XP) practices.
• Experience with, and enthusiasm for, pair programming.

Initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extensions.

Hybrid working model with the opportunity to work up to 4 days per week from home.
