Our partner is an international technology company is looking for a Network Engineer with a Team Lead mindset to take ownership of the network environment while guiding and supporting a team of IT professionals. 🛜

This is not a purely managerial position: you will remain hands-on with the technology, with a strong focus on Fortinet, while taking a leading role within the team.

Lead Network Engineer - The Job

Take ownership of the network infrastructure, designing, configuring and maintaining secure and highly available environments, with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies.
Lead and support the network/IT team, providing technical guidance, prioritizing activities and helping team members grow their expertise.
Manage and optimize FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN, SD-WAN and security policies, while working with Palo Alto technologies where required.
Drive network security initiatives, including firewall management, segmentation, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessments and incident response.
Troubleshoot complex network issues, monitor performance and ensure reliability, availability and continuous improvement of the infrastructure.
Coordinate projects, vendors and internal stakeholders, while maintaining clear technical documentation and ensuring successful delivery.

Lead Network Engineer - The Profile

5 + years of experience in network engineering or network administration, ideally combined with an initial team leadership or mentoring experience.
Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet, particularly FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN and SD-WAN.
Solid knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, NAT and security policies; experience with Palo Alto is a strong asset.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, OSPF/BGP and enterprise network infrastructure.
A natural technical leader: someone who enjoys solving complex problems hands-on while also supporting, coordinating and developing others.
Fluent in English and French, with strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to different stakeholders.
