Junior Accountant - Internal Opportunity in Brussels
A Belgian-based technology is further structuring its Finance department in Brussels.

To reinforce the accounting team, they are hiring a Junior Accountant who will contribute to the day-to-day financial operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Mission
Within a small and collaborative finance team, you will ensure that supplier accounting and related financial flows are processed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. Beyond operational tasks, you will gradually take part in reporting, reconciliation work, and process enhancements.
This role combines operational accounting responsibilities with exposure to broader finance activities.
Role
- Process and validate incoming supplier invoices
- Record accounting entries and ensure proper allocation in the general ledger
- Reconcile accounts on a regular basis and investigate discrepancies
- Contribute to the smooth execution of the procure-to-pay flow
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closings
- Prepare accruals, cut-off entries, and supporting documentation
- Participate in the preparation of internal financial reports
- Monitor outstanding customer balances
- Support follow-up actions to ensure timely payments
- Provide input for aging analysis and collection reporting
- Maintain contact with suppliers regarding payment or invoice-related questions
- Ensure accounting documentation is properly archived and compliant
- Support the application and update of internal accounting procedures
- Identify inefficiencies within accounting workflows
- Support ERP optimization and digitalization initiatives
- Contribute ideas to strengthen internal controls and data reliability
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of BE GAAP
- Fluency in French and good command of English
