GL Accountant | Financial Services | Brussels

We are actively looking for a GL Accountant for one of our clients active in the financial services industry and located in Brussels.

The team has expanded significantly over the past few years. From a small group at the start, the company now employs nearly 200 people, with a core team based in Belgium. The workforce is young, dynamic, and remarkably diverse, representing over 50 nationalities. This diversity is celebrated through regular offsite events, which bring together colleagues from different locations.

Our client is looking for a motivated GL Accountant to strengthen its growing finance team. You’ll join a close-knit, collaborative environment, working hand-in-hand with the Finance Manager and an experienced General Accountant.

This role offers the perfect balance between hands-on accounting operations and the opportunity to contribute to more strategic, analytical finance initiatives, making it an ideal next step for someone eager to grow and make an impact within a dynamic and international company.

Function:

Manage full-cycle accountancy and monthly VAT for the Belgian entity
Performe intercompany reconciliations
Supporte month-end closing, group consolidation and flux analysis
Assist with statutory accounts preparation and annual audit
Act as primary accounting contact
Contribute to the implementation of new tools and process automation projects

Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
At least 2 years of experience in general accounting
You are fluent in English
You thrive in a collaborative and fast-moving team environment
You take full ownership of your work and are highly responsible
You are a self-starter who loves solving problems and learning quickly
