Our partner, an international technology & industrial company in Walloon Brabant, is looking for a Finance Project Accountant to support its growth.

Its Finance organisation is evolving alongside the business, creating a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants to move away from a purely traditional accounting position.

As Finance Project Accountant, your role will sit at the crossroads of accounting, consolidation, reporting and Finance projects. Roughly half of the position will focus on Group consolidation and reporting, while the other half will involve transversal Finance projects alongside the Head of Finance.

You therefore don't need to be someone who has spent their entire career in consolidation. The position can also suit an accountant, auditor or finance professional with strong accounting fundamentals who wants to broaden their scope and gain exposure to Group-level topics.

Finance Project Accountant | Your duties and responsibilities

As Finance Project Accountant, you will progressively take ownership of several strategic Finance topics. You will notably:

Participate in quarterly and annual Group consolidation processes;
Work on accounting mappings, intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, FX matters and reporting packages;
Review and challenge financial information received from different entities;
Improve the quality, reliability and timing of financial reporting;
Coordinate with local Finance teams, external auditors and IFRS consultants;
Contribute to the harmonisation of closing and accounting practices across entities;
Develop and monitor internal financial controls;
Document and improve Finance procedures and processes;
Support the improvement and automation of consolidation and reporting tools;
Work directly with the Head of Finance on transversal projects involving Finance, Legal, HR, Production and external stakeholders.

The Finance Project Accountant will therefore have room to investigate new topics, coordinate stakeholders and help turn developing Finance processes into more structured and scalable ones.

Finance Project Accountant | Ideal profile

Experience: You have relevant experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, consolidation or another broad Finance position. Hands-on consolidation experience is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement.
Languages: You have a strong professional level of English and are comfortable working in French.
Qualifications: You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or a related field.

Finance Project Accountant | The offer

A permanent contract within a rapidly growing Belgian technology company with international activities;
A gross salary of around €5,000/month, with flexibility depending on experience;
