Finance Manager - International Company in Leuven
We are actively looking for a Finance Manager in the region of Leuven (hybrid role).

To support the development of its European finance function, the company is currently looking for a Finance Manager who will play a key leadership role within the regional finance team.
Role
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial management of the European operations and act as a central point of coordination between regional activities and the global finance organization.
This position requires a hands-on and strategic professional capable of managing accounting, compliance, and financial operations while also supporting business decisions in a fast-moving international environment.
Based in Belgium, the role involves working closely with senior leadership and collaborating with teams located across multiple countries.
Financial Leadership
- Lead and coordinate regional finance activities including accounting, tax compliance, treasury, and financial operations
- Provide guidance and structure to the local finance team while fostering a collaborative working environment
- Ensure alignment between regional processes and global financial policies
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Supervise the monthly and yearly closing processes for European entities
- Ensure financial reporting complies with local statutory requirements and international accounting standards
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial information for headquarters
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate relationships with external auditors and advisors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements across the different jurisdictions where the company operates
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Monitor liquidity and working capital across the European entities
- Manage relationships with banking partners and support treasury planning
International Coordination
- Act as a key liaison between European finance teams and the global headquarters
- Support the implementation of financial processes and improvements across the region
Profile
Experience
- Significant experience in finance or accounting within an international environment
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-country financial operations
- Previous leadership or team coordination experience is considered an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of local accounting regulations and financial reporting
- Familiarity with international accounting frameworks such as US GAAP is a plus
- Experience within global or matrix organizations is beneficial
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) is considered a strong asset
Languages
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Knowledge of French or Dutch is considered an advantage in the local environment
