CFO - South Brussels Periphery
Our client is actively looking for a CFO for a holding company in the South Periphery of Brussels (long-term independant or intern contract).
About the Company
Our client is a well-structured entrepreneurial group, active across several complementary businesses, with strong growth momentum and a long-term vision. The organization stands out for its pragmatic, performance-driven culture, with close collaboration between senior management and key functions.
As part of a planned transition, the group is seeking to recruit its future Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to ensure continuity, support growth, and strengthen strategic financial leadership.
A handover period with the current CFO is planned
Role
As CFO, you will be a true strategic partner to the CEO. You will oversee the group’s overall financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and actively contribute to the development and structuring of the various entities.
The role is strongly oriented toward strategic finance and growth, with an already well-structured accounting function managed by a dedicated leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the group’s financial strategy
- Support the CEO in strategic decision-making (investments, growth, capital allocation)
- Oversee the financial performance of all group entities
- Structure and optimize financial management and reporting tools
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary finance team
- Ensure the reliability of financial analyses, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide a cross-functional, long-term perspective on group projects
- Act as a proactive contributor in an entrepreneurial environment
Organization & Management
- Structured finance team (accounting, controlling, financial support)
- Management approach based on trust, autonomy, and accountability
- Expected leadership without micromanagement, with the ability to bring rigor when required
Profile
- Advanced degree in finance, management, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a senior finance role (CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance)
- Demonstrated experience managing teams
- Strong analytical skills and excellent command of financial issues
- Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Comfort working in close partnership with senior management
The group is seeking a dynamic, agile, and intellectually strong profile, capable of building a trusted relationship with the CEO and playing a central role in governance.
