Accountant with Tax Knowledge

For one of our clients, we are actively looking for an Accountant with tax knowledge in the Flemish Brabant region near Aalst.

 

Our client is a solid and innovative family business in the beverage industry. Within the company, one of its entities plays a key role in managing a vast real estate portfolio of 250 properties, including both owned and rented assets. These properties cover a range of strategic sites such as offices, operational sites, and private rentals. With a strong growth dynamic and a long-term vision, this structure combines stability and innovation to support the development of an influential and diverse group.

 

As part of its expansion, this entity offers an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join a stable and dynamic environment where your expertise will contribute to financial management and overall success.


Role

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting for multiple companies (25+), verifying the accuracy of financial records.
  • Carry out annual closings, processing and analyzing financial data with precision.
  • Prepare and verify annual financial statements in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Draft reports for the Board of Directors and General Assembly, including annual reports.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of tax declarations from A to Z, including necessary annexes.
  • Prepare merger or demerger proposals and ensure their submission to the registry.
  • Work closely with the Real Estate & Finance Director and report on your activities.


Profile

  • You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in applied economics, business administration, or accounting-taxation.
  • At least 2 years of experience, ideally in an accounting firm, internal finance department, or a Big 4 company.
  • Passion for accounting, with good knowledge of taxation and/or corporate law.
  • Fluency in Dutch and French, with a basic knowledge of English.
  • Ability to handle complex cases and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong listening and advisory skills, demonstrating diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Methodical, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a structured and thoughtful approach to work.
